#FreeHappy t-shirt design contest

By Mickey Suzuki

The NhRP wants to see your creative side! Help us create an original t-shirt design that supports our campaign to #FreeHappy. Your design should reflect what we’re fighting for—freedom and sanctuary for Happy.

The winning design will be printed onto t-shirts and other products and made available for purchase online from the official NhRP merchandise store. Profits from the store are donated to the NhRP and directly support our mission of securing fundamental rights for nonhuman animals.

Prize: The NhRP will select one winning design based on the criteria of creativity, clarity of message, and relevance. The winner will receive (1) one t-shirt with their design, (2) a choice of one other product with their design, and (3) a copy of Colleen Plumb’s book Thirty Times a Minute.

Eligibility: No purchase or donation is necessary to enter the contest. The contest is limited to legal adults (as determined by the entrant’s state or province of residence; i.e., over 18 or 19, as applicable). Employees of the NhRP are not eligible to win the prize, nor are members of their immediate families. Only one entry will be accepted per email address; those entering more than once may be disqualified. Offer void where prohibited.

Entry: All entrants must submit an original design suitable for production on t-shirts and other consumer products via the link below and include: name, address, telephone number, and email address. One entry per person.

Design Requirements: Digital entries only. Three colors max. Please submit your original design as a high-resolution .PNG or .JPG file, not exceeding 11.5 inches wide by 14 inches high.

Deadline: Submissions to the contest must be received by 11:59 p.m. ET on Friday, September 18th, 2020. We’ll publicly announce the winner via email and social media. Date TBD.

To enter, please submit your design here.

Contest Terms: By participating in this contest, entrants acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

Entrants represent and warrant that: (i) all components of the entry are your original creation; (ii) you own or have the rights to convey any and all right and title in any material submitted as part of your entry into the contest; (iii) the entry has not been published or submitted to any other competition; and (iv) your entry does not infringe upon any third party’s rights, including but not limited to, copyright, patent or trademarks/trade names/logos, or rights of privacy or publicity.

Entries containing any material deemed by the NhRP to be inappropriate (ex: promoting violence or hate) will be disqualified. Online entries will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at time of entry.

Entrants must send entries by the deadline date via the link provided. Entries received after the deadline or outside of the link provided are ineligible and will not be considered. The NhRP will not be responsible for lost, late, inaccurate, incomplete, misdirected, or incorrect entries.

Only one entry per person will be considered for contest entry.

All designs submitted shall become the sole and exclusive property of the NhRP. The NhRP may publish, reproduce, modify, display, prepare derivative works of, and otherwise make use of your design in any and all media, at any time without further permission, notice or compensation (except where prohibited by law).

You hold the NhRP and its employees harmless from and against—and hereby waive any right to pursue—any claims of any nature arising in connection with the NhRP’s use of the design submitted to the NhRP and used in any manner in the NhRP’s sole and absolute discretion.

The NhRP shall have no obligation to post, display, or otherwise make publicly available any designs submitted by you.

The design submitted by you may be made available by the NhRP for viewing, rating, reviewing, and commenting by the public. You acknowledge that comments or ratings that you disagree with or are unhappy about may be published or otherwise become associated with the design that you submit to the NhRP.

This contest will be judged entirely on the sole and absolute discretion of the NhRP. Decisions made by the NhRP are final.

All entrants must be legal adults by the law of their respective jurisdiction (i.e., over 18 or 19, as applicable).

No purchase or payment of any consideration is necessary to enter the contest.

The winner may not request substitutions of prize winnings.

If a selected winner is unreachable, ineligible, or fails to claim the prize within three (3) days, the winner will forfeit his or her prize and an alternate winner will be selected.

Neither the NhRP nor its employees shall be liable for any warranty, costs, damage, injury, or any other claims incurred as a result of the receipt, ownership, possession, or usage of a prize by any winner. Furthermore, the NhRP is not liable for any damage or loss arising out of or in connection with this contest.

If the specified prize becomes unavailable for any reason, the NhRP in its sole and absolute discretion may substitute a prize of like or equal value.

The NhRP reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to terminate the contest at any time without prior notice or alter the contest details or terms at any time.

Entrants give permission to use the entrant’s name (without compensation to the entrant) if the entrant is a winner, to publicize the contest and otherwise, as determined by the NhRP, unless prohibited by law.

The NhRP reserves the right to require the winner to provide proof of eligibility.

The contest is null and void in any jurisdiction where prohibited by law.

By entering a contest, you conclusively are deemed to have agreed to be bound by these contest terms. This is an irrevocable condition of entry.
