Jessica Almy is the Executive Director of the Nonhuman Rights Project. As Executive Director, Jessica leads the NhRP’s strategy, programs, operations, and fundraising, guiding the organization’s work to advance legal rights for nonhuman animals. She previously led policy and government relations at the Good Food Institute, where she secured more than $50 million in government funding and shaped regulatory pathways for cultivated meat, and later served as the organization’s interim CEO. Earlier in her career, Jessica litigated wildlife protection cases under the Endangered Species Act and other federal statutes. She holds a J.D. from NYU School of Law and an M.S. in Animals and Public Policy from Tufts University.
