Take action to help free Happy to an elephant sanctuary

While we work on our appeal in Happy’s case, you can help secure her freedom by completing the following actions:

  1. Use this action alert to send an email asking New York City Council Members to publicly urge the Bronx Zoo to send Happy to an elephant sanctuary. You don’t have to be a NYC resident to use this action alert. (U.S. residents only)
  2. If you are a NYC resident, follow up your email with a call to your City Council Member asking them to publicly urge the Bronx Zoo to send Happy to an elephant sanctuary. Click here to find out who your City Council Member is and their contact information.
  3. Use this action alert to send an email to the Bronx Zoo, urging them to release Happy to an elephant sanctuary where she will have chance to heal and thrive as other elephants have done before her. Then share the alert on social media.
  4. Sign and share this Change.org petition calling for Happy’s release to a sanctuary.

Thank you for your support for Happy’s freedom and for taking action to help her!

Courtney Fern is the NhRP’s Director of Government Relations and Campaigns.
