Christopher Berry is the Chief Strategy Officer for the Nonhuman Rights Project, and oversees the NhRP’s long-term strategy, including communications and messaging strategy, development of new legal pathways, and other cross-functional initiatives that advance the organization’s mission. Prior to working at the NhRP, Christopher helped manage litigation at the Animal Legal Defense Fund where he specialized in private civil enforcement of animal protection laws and related issues such as standing, justiciability, and procedure. Christopher earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan School of Law and a B.S. in political science from the University of South Dakota.
