Michelle is the NhRP’s Development Director. She leads comprehensive fundraising and development strategies to support the NhRP’s mission of securing rights for nonhuman animals. Prior to joining the NhRP, Michelle ran her own nonprofit consulting practice, helping small organizations strengthen their fundraising and communications. During that time, she also served in leadership, policy, and fundraising roles for national and regional nonprofits whose animal protection missions ranged from companion animals to mountain lions, farmed animals, and nonhumans subjected to medical research. Michelle holds a B.A. in Communications from the California State University at Chico and an M.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Marylhurst University.
